Nakatsumiya
One of Enoshima Shrine's three sanctuaries, distinguished by its striking vermilion-lacquered hall. Said to have been founded by the priest Ennin in 853, it enshrines Ichikishimahime-no-Mikoto. Long revered by kabuki performers, its grounds command a sweeping view of Sagami Bay.

Nakatsunomiya was founded in 853 by the Tendai monk Ennin (Jikaku Daishi) and enshrines the goddess Ichikishimahime.
Vermilion Among the Pines
Rebuilt in vermilion in 1689 with support from Edo merchants and kabuki actors, it has long drawn those praying for beauty and the performing arts.
