About this spot

Two Resorts Joined at the Summit

Hakuba Goryu & Hakuba47 is a place worth a visit in Hakuba, Nagano. Travel through its seasons and highlights across 1 on-location videos before you visit.

Hakuba Goryu and Hakuba47 are separate resorts that share a summit and a lift ticket, so a day here flows naturally from one to the other. Goryu's wide Toomi slopes sit right beside the Escal Plaza base and are the valley's best-lit night-skiing area, while the Alps-Daira plateau above opens onto long, open faces beneath Mt. Goryu. Hakuba47, reached by gondola from its own base, faces north and keeps cold snow on its tree-lined trails; its terrain park is one of the most developed in Japan and draws snowboarders from around the world. Both bases are a few minutes south of Hakuba's main town, with Kamishiro station on the local line within walking distance of Goryu. Together they offer the most varied day in the Hakuba Valley for a group that mixes cruisers, park riders and powder hunters.
