Meigetsu-in Temple is a temple belonging to the Kencho-ji school of the Rinzai Sect located in Yamanouchi, Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is officially called Fukugenzai Meigetsuin. It is known as a famous spot for hydrangeas, and is also known as a hydrangea temple where blue hydrangeas bloom. In the late Heian period, Meigetsu-an, which was built for the memorial service of Toshimichi Yamauchi, began. The principal image is Sho Kannon, the founder is Norikata Uesugi, and the founder (the first chief priest) is Mitsutsu Shugon. The graveyard of Tokiyori Hojo is located in the precincts.
