Kumano Nachi Taisha
Kumano Nachi Taisha is a shrine located in Nachiyama, Nachikatsuura-cho, Higashimuro-gun, Wakayama Prefecture. Together with Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine and Kumano Hayatama Taisha Shrine, they make up the Kumano Sanzan. Kumanofusumi Omikami is the main enshrined deity. It used to be called Nachi-jinja Shrine, Sumi-jinja Shrine, Kumano-Nachi-jinja Shrine, and so on. It is also called Kumano Zodiac Gongen, Jusansho Gongen, or Nachiyama Gongen. The old shrine ranking was Kanpeichu-sha Shrine, and now it is a Beppyo Shrine of the Jinja Honsho. The shrine and precincts of Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountains" (registered in July 2004).

A Sacred Waterfall Shrine
One of the three grand Kumano shrines, Nachi Taisha grew from ancient worship of the great Nachi Falls. It lies on the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage routes, a World Heritage Site.
