An Ark Walking on the Sea
On a quiet stretch of Ogijima's coast stands 'Walking Ark,' an outdoor sculpture by the artist unit Yodogawa Technique, created for the 2013 Setouchi Triennale. A white, ship-like form rises on long, slender legs, as if striding across the sea toward the horizon in search of a promised land. Set against the blue of the Inland Sea and the distant islands, it is one of Ogijima's most photographed and most poetic sights.
