A Library That Revived an Island
Ogijima Library is a place worth a visit in Ogijima, Takamatsu. We've gathered 1 videos so you can explore it across the seasons on screen.
In a lovingly renovated old wooden house among Ogijima's hillside lanes, the Ogijima Library opened in 2016—started by a family who moved to the island and helped spark its revival. Books line the warm, light-filled rooms, and a small café and garden invite visitors to linger. More than a place to read, it has become a gathering point that drew young families back to a once-depopulating island, a quiet emblem of community renewal.
