Shokunin-machi & Kajiya-machi

Shokunin-machi and Kajiya-machi are the old craftsmen's and blacksmiths' quarters of Gujo Hachiman — neat rows of wooden houses fronted by flowing water channels. Fire-fighting cisterns and seasonal flowers line the lanes, a tidy townscape shaped by the trades once worked here.
