Manshu-in
Manshuin is a Tendai sect temple located in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City. There is no sango, and the principal image is Amida Nyorai. The founding of the mountain is a matter of fact (Zesan). It is also known as Takeuchi Monzeki Monzeki Temple (a special temple where children of imperial families and nobles become chief priests for generations), and is counted as one of the Tendai Gomonzeki, along with Shoren-in Temple, Sanzen-in Temple (Kajii Monzeki), Myoho-in Temple, and Bishamon-do Monzeki. It has many cultural properties, including the national treasure Huang Fudu and the Manjuinhon Kokin Wakashu (Collection of Ancient and Modern Japanese Poetry). It is a famous spot for autumn leaves.
