Togakushi Hinomikosha
Togakushi Hinomikosha is a historic shrine and temple. 2 traveler-shot videos let you feel the atmosphere and catch the highlights before you go.
The only one of Togakushi's five shrines to have kept its ancient form untouched by Buddhist syncretism. It enshrines Ame-no-Uzume-no-Mikoto, goddess of dance and the performing arts, also revered for matchmaking and fire prevention. Nearby stand a 500-year-old married-cedar pair and the Saigyō cherry tree.
