Garden of the Unseasonable Cherry
Jikko-in is a quiet sub-temple of Shorin-in, beloved for its strolling and seated gardens. Its most charming feature is the fudan-zakura, an 'unseasonable' cherry tree that blooms from autumn into spring, so that visitors can sometimes see cherry blossoms and crimson maples together. Sit on the tatami with a cup of matcha and let the contemplative garden, with its small waterfall and shaped trees, unfold before you.
