Horikiri Pass is a celebrated viewpoint on the Nichinan coast road south of Aoshima. From the palm-lined ridge the road opens onto a sweeping panorama of the Pacific and the 'Devil's Washboard' rock platforms below — one of Miyazaki's signature coastal drives.
