Shisen-dō

Shisendo is a Soto Sect temple located in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City. Its sango (literally, "mountain name"), which is the title prefixed to the name of a mountain, is 66 mountains. The principal image is Meurofukanon. It is now called Jozan-ji Temple. It is the remains of a mountain villa of the literary man Jozan Ishikawa in the early Edo period, and has been designated as a national historic site.
