Izumo Taisha
Izumo Taisha Shrine is a shrine located in Kitsuki-higashi, Taisha-cho, Izumo-shi, Shimane Prefecture. The enshrined deity is Okuninushi Omikami. Shikinaisha (Meishindai), Ichinomiya Shrine in Izumo Province, formerly Kanpei Taisha Shrine. This is the Beppyo Shrine of the Jinja Honsho. An ancestral temple of the religious corporation Izumo Taisha Kyo. It was the only shrine to be called "Taisha" under the modern shrine classification system that accompanied the Meiji Restoration. The shrine crest of Izumo Taisha Shrine (the crest of the gods) is Nijukikonikenahanabashi, a sword with double tortoiseshells.
