Iya Kazurabashi

Kazurabashi is a primitive suspension bridge built using kudzu such as saru chikazura. It is famous for being located in Zentoku, Nishi-Sotaniyama Village, Miyoshi City, Tokushima Prefecture. In addition, there are two bridges to Higashi-Iya Sugao in the same city. There is also a bridge built for sightseeing in Ikeda-cho, Imadate-gun, Fukui Prefecture, with the cooperation of artisans from Higashi-Iya, both of which are dedicated to people.

A Bridge Woven from Vines
Suspended over the Iya River deep in the mountains of Shikoku, this bridge is woven from mountain vines. Tradition links it to the defeated Heike clan, who could cut such bridges to foil pursuers.
