A Hot Spring Born of a Silver Mine
Ginzan grew beside a once-thriving silver mine, and after the mine closed it flourished as a hot-spring resort. Its row of wooden Taisho-era inns along the river, lit by gas lamps, evokes early-20th-century Japan.
