Futami Okitama Shrine
Futami Okitama Shrine is a shrine located in Futami Town, Ise City, Mie Prefecture. Formerly a village shrine, it is now a separate shrine of the Shinto shrine headquarters. It is known for its marital rocks in Iso-oi on the precincts. The enshrined deities are Okitama Omikami (Sarutahiko Omikami) and Ukagitama Omikami (also known here as Toyouke Omikami of Jingu Geku).

Rocks Joined by a Sacred Rope
This seaside shrine is famous for the Meoto Iwa, two sacred 'wedded rocks' linked by a heavy rope, symbolizing marriage and the union of the gods. Pilgrims once purified themselves here before visiting Ise.
