Myōan-ji
Myoan-ji Temple is the head temple of the Fuka Shoshu sect in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City. Its sango (literally, "mountain name") is Koryozan. The principal image is a statue of a false bamboo Zen master. Shakuhachi Fundamental Dojo. In the period drama, the monk often wears a box with the word "light and dark" on it, which seems to have a religious meaning at first glance, but actually means "I belong to the Myoku-ji Temple."
