Arakurayama Sengen Park
Arakurayama Asama Park is a neighborhood park located at 3353 Arakura, Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture. It was established in October 1959. It is famous and popular as a superb viewpoint where you can see the magnificent Mt. Fuji, the vermilion five-storied pagoda, and the cherry blossoms in full bloom. Located in the middle of Mt. Shinkura, it covers an area of about 4.3 hectares. The Mikuni Daiichiyama Shinkura Fuji Sengen Shrine is located, and Mt. Shinkura is a shrine area. There are about 650 cherry blossoms (Somei Yoshino) and a memorial tower for the war dead in the park.

Pagoda, Cherry Blossoms and Fuji
From this hillside park, the vermilion Chureito Pagoda, cherry blossoms, and Mount Fuji align in what has become one of the most photographed images of Japan. The pagoda was built in 1963 as a war memorial.
