About this spot

Rokuō-in

Rokuo-in Temple is a separate temple of the Rinzai sect located in Saga Kitahori-cho, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City. Its sango (literally, "mountain name") is Mt. Kakuo. The principal image is Shaka Nyorai, the founder is Yoshimitsu Ashikaga, and the founder is Haruya Myoha. It is a famous spot for autumn leaves.
