Ise Jingu
Ise Jingu Shrine is a shrine located in Ise City, Mie Prefecture, Japan. The official name is "Jingu" (Jingu). In order to distinguish it from other shrines, it is commonly known as Ise Jingu after the place name "Ise". Izumo Province is Amaterasu Omikami, but Emperor Jito enshrined Amaterasu Omikami and the Emperor became a ritualist. It is also known as "Ise no Jingu" or affectionately as "Oise-san" or "Ojingu-san." Since ancient times, it has been regarded as the highest special status palace, and now it is the main sect of the Shinto shrine headquarters (Honso. It is a shrine that stands on top of all shrines), and is considered to be the "total Ujigami of the Japanese people." It occupied the highest position in the Jingi system of the Ritsuryo system, and in the Heian period, it became one of the top seven of the twenty-two shrines. In addition, it is one of the shrines that has never been awarded a shrine rank.
