Honen-in Temple is a Jodo sect temple in Shishigaya, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City. Its sango (literally, "mountain name") is Mt. Zenki. The principal image is Amida Nyorai, which was originally a Jodo sect but is now a separate religious corporation. Its official name is "Zenkiyama Honen-in Manmukyoji Temple." Another name is "Honzan Shishidani Honen-in." The location near the philosophical road is also relevant, and there are a large number of worshippers during the spring and autumn tourism seasons. At present, some of the temples are open for regular lectures and concerts.
