Dogo Onsen is a hot spring spring springing up in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture (formerly Iyo Province). It is said to be one of the three oldest hot springs in Japan. Its existence has been known since ancient times, and it seems to be the first volume of Manyoshu (Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves). In the past, this area was called Onsen-gun (Yu-gun), but this is the name of the place named after this hot spring. Also depicted in Soseki Natsume's novel "Bozuchiyan" (1905), it has become a representative tourist destination in Ehime Prefecture. It was certified as a regional collective trademark (regional brand) in August 2007 (the applicant is Dogo Onsen Ryokan Cooperative, registered trademark No. 5071495).
